Wishing you peace
Story Description :
I still believe that some things in this world are forever. That is love. For me, love is forever… it’s just that the person walking beside me to build that love is no longer you!
For me, love is forever… it’s just that the person walking beside me to build that love is no longer you!
I’m not someone who is good at hiding my emotions, but I am exceptionally good at reading the feelings of others. So don’t bother telling me you miss me, or that everything was just a matter of circumstances. And don't lie to me about ever truly loving me, either. I could feel it even with my eyes closed, I really could.
I know all of that, but it seems forgetting you is just too difficult; I don't think I can do it. I can't let go of the memories between us, nor can I shake the image of you resting your head on my shoulder, crying when your "first love" walked away from you—back when I told you, "Let's start over, trust me... and you will never have to hurt like this again." But now, you are the one who has betrayed those very words. I didn't cry... but I can't forget you.
Whenever I have some free time—no, even when I deliberately bury myself in endless work—I still find myself sneaking a peek at your Facebook, hopping from my profile over to that "new person's" page. A sudden bitterness rises in my throat, and my tears spill over uncontrollably the moment I see the two of you looking so happy together. I knew it would happen, so why does it still hurt this much?
It suddenly hits me just how hard it is to forget someone. Because the memories and the emotions we once shared can't just be easily buried deep in the past. But I understand that everyone goes through hard times like this in life, forcing themselves to push through it—it's only a matter of sooner or later!
And don't worry, I will manage to forget you, too. Soon.
The truth is, while sorrow runs deep, happiness is sometimes so small. I'll still try my best to live well. A word of encouragement, a casual and simple remark from a friend—that's all it takes to warm my heart again.
I know that once a wound exists, it never truly disappears. We tend to think that the deeper we hide it, the less visible it becomes... But sometimes, the things we can no longer see aren't necessarily the things we've completely forgotten. They're still there, lingering in the distance, never having vanished at all. So I'm not going to try to force myself to forget you anymore; I'll just let nature take its course and let time soften it. Everything will gradually fade, and even if I can't forget, it certainly won't ache as deeply anymore.
I'll find my own happiness, simply because I refuse to regret living out that love with my whole heart.
And my dear...
I still believe that some things in this world are forever. That is love. For me, love is forever… it’s just that the person walking beside me to build that love is no longer you!
