Lately, I've been keeping myself busy.

I've been traveling, taking part in volunteer activities, practicing martial arts… There always seems to be something to do, and I barely have time left to sit around thinking about pointless things.

Somehow, I feel as though I've found my old balance again.

Sometimes, when I sit quietly and think about the feelings I once had for Amory, I realize they aren't quite the same anymore.

Don't misunderstand me.

I still like Amory.

Just… in a different way now.

He's a close friend, and what I feel for him has become the kind of affection you have for someone who has quietly become an important part of your life.

Nothing more.

Looking back, I realize how unreasonable my sadness and disappointment were when I first found out that Amory liked Alethea.

I have too many things to worry about, and so many things that matter far more than those old feelings.

I'm simply living my life again—energetic, passionate, and completely myself.

The only difference is that I've opened my heart a little more. I care about people more than I used to.

And, most importantly, I have a very close friend—Amory.

Someone I can talk to.

Someone I can share my thoughts with.

As for Amity, I know he genuinely likes me.

But the truth is, I'm not ready for anything.

Not yet.

I've also come to realize that Amity is actually a thoughtful person. He knows how to care for others, and perhaps because I've gotten to know him better, I see him in a much warmer light now.

And I've gained another close friend.

Two close friends.

Two people I can talk to, confide in, and share the ups and downs of life with.

For now…
