Status: Completed story category : shories stories Content : If we get married in the future, I want us to have very stable jobs before officially belonging to each other forever. I don’t need us to earn a lot of money to become too wealthy, nor do I hope we will become someone important.

If we get married, what would it be like? In two years, or three years? The future is unpredictable after all, so can you help me build a little home together? I don't know for sure; I only know that right now, I love you—yesterday, today, and tomorrow... The time I've spent loving you is still short, but it's already enough to make me want to live under the same roof with you, to stick together and beautify our nest, my love!

If we get married in the future, I want us to have very stable jobs before officially belonging to each other forever. I don't need us to earn a lot of money to become too wealthy, nor do I hope we will become someone important. I just need a job that can help us stabilize our lives without having to worry about making ends meet. I only hope we try our best every day to become better versions of ourselves and know how to spend the money we earn in the most reasonable way. Also, because I don't want us to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of making a living and forget the presence of each other in our lives. Above all things, I yearn for peace in a small home with you and me.

If we get married in the future, I want our wedding to be decorated in blue and pristine white. Blue symbolizes a bright future with our boundless hopes, and white symbolizes the most beautiful beginnings. And of course, everything won't just stop there.

If we get married in the future, I want our small room to have no balcony, just a window facing outside, so that every early morning, the warm sunlight will knock on the window to wake us up. I also don't want a balcony because I don't like it when you are troubled and sneak out there alone to brood. It would be much better if you hold my hand, hug me close, and watch the starry sky together; I will whisper into your ear, blow your worries away, and then tomorrow morning you will handle everything wonderfully.

If we get married in the future, we surely won't be able to avoid arguments and disagreements. Since you and I have never raised our voices or argued heatedly about anything, I can't even imagine what you look like when you're angry. Anyway, I understand your personality; there won't be a situation where both of us strain our necks shouting at each other. I want us to resolve conflicts and arguments in the most tactful and profound way, rather than having one of us wrongly take the blame just to brush things aside and rush through it.

If we get married in the future, I want us to have both a daughter and a son. I want our son to look just like you, because that's the only way I can indirectly watch you grow up. Our daughter will definitely be prettier than her mom; all the best traits of you and me will be given to our children. I want their nicknames at home to be... (well, I'll tell you later ^^). Real names are something we carry with us forever, so you and I will think of the coolest and most beautiful names for them together, okay?

If we get married in the future, I want every afternoon after work to stop by the market to buy some groceries to cook dinner for you and our kids. You will go pick up the kids, won't you? You'll play sports with them, have father-child bonding time, and give them useful lessons outside of school hours. I'll stay home, cook, and wait for you and the kids to come back so we can have a family meal together. After dinner, our little family will gather around to watch TV together and have some dessert. Then we'll help our kids with their homework. You can teach them Math, and I'll teach them Literature. Together, we'll guide our children to become useful members of society in the future.

If we get married in the future, I want us to have weekends where we "escape" from the kids to go on coffee dates just like when we were young. Occasionally, you'll drive me out for dinner, go moon-gazing, and reminisce about the days when we first met... It will feel like the memories of our youthful romance are rushing back, keeping our love vibrant, just like the very beginning—passionate and warm!

If we get married in the future, we will grow older day by day and our children will grow up. At that time, I want to travel with you to Japan to see the cherry blossoms, as it's the country we both yearn to visit. Then we'll return to the sea of Nha Trang to fully experience the salty breeze and warm scent of my hometown's ocean in our twilight years. And then we'll hold hands and return to Hanoi, the place that indirectly brought us together.

If we get married in the future, I want our love to always remain as intact as it was in the beginning. I want that whenever I'm tired, stressed, or stuck, all I have to do is turn back, and you will already be standing right there waiting for me, opening your arms for me to run to and hold me tight. And you too—when you have unpleasant moments, fatigue, or stress from work, you just need to open the door, take off your shoes, and step inside; all worries will stay outside that door, and before you will only be peace and warmth. Our small home will be filled with the laughter of joy and happiness. No matter how far we go, I only hope you always remember that there is a place and loved ones always waiting for you to return.

Before writing these lines, do you know that I cried until all the worries and anxieties about that distant future completely vanished and washed away? Because I know that sitting here overthinking makes it hard to predict what will happen in the future. But no matter what hardships come, as long as you still hold my hand and still want me to help build this house of love, my love for you will remain as deep as it is today. I believe the efforts of both of us will be rewarded accordingly. And my love, everything I wrote here might be a dream, but I will try to make it come true. I believe so. Darling, tell me that you want these things too?!

Dedicated to you, my love!
